Adobe just released two new compiler tools, a new command line compiler shell called fcsh and a set of Ant tasks specifically for compiling Flex projects.

I haven’t really looked at Homestar Runner in a while but those dudes have really been cranking out some games! I wanted to point out one in particular since it falls into that whole adventure game thing I was talking about before. This one is called Peasant’s Quest. It boasts a text-based command system, save game, inventory, humour and intrigue, plus, it’s a dead ringer for Kings Quest I . Check it out!

Update:

Actually, on closer inspection, most of these games are crap. Although, Population Tire is pretty good and I hear you can play it on the Wii.

Procrastination

Here are a few great Flash games that have held my interest for more than a few minutes. Most links came from Game|Life (thanks Chris).

  • Winterbells - Very simple but well build game. Kind of a variant on the kick-up type games.
  • Flash Element TD - A Flash game based on a mod of Warcraft III? It’s a simple but addictive strategy game.
  • Four Second Firestorm - A WarioWare clone created by several different development teams. Very fun but I don’t know who still wants listen to that Eurotrash Club music.
